I find it astounding that so few people truly do this. If you know you have to go to work on a particular day, you just get up and go. Well, if you are not actively pursuing your vocation in your work, then you are not moving forward. Yes, there is a lot of activity, but it is like activity that helps you stay in place.
One of the goals in life is to consistently move forward. You can do this in millimeters, centimeters, inches, feet, yards or miles. But, in order to move forward you have to take actions that will yield results. The only way you can guarantee a result is by having a plan.
Plan your work and truly work the plan. If you find that you are easily distracted because there is so much going on and you are not quite clear on how to go about setting up a plan, consider the possibility of only setting a plan that will take you up to lunchtime. After that, set a goal for dinnertime. Have an overall goal for the day and for the week.
You can even have a goal for “hump day” and for the weekend. The point is, without a plan of action you are simply going to meander through time and you are not going to achieve the goals you really want in life.
What is it that everyone wants? Most people want to be happy, successful and, perhaps, to relieve the burden and pressure of everyday material considerations. In order to do this, one must be able to increase one’s worth and productivity.
For those of you who are employed with a salary, it is a matter of gathering personal power and skills so that you can climb higher on the corporate ladder. Do this even if you cannot climb the ladder with your current employer, because there are plenty of other companies looking for people with accomplishments.
However, if you do enjoy where you are currently employed, then see how productive you can be so that, if nothing else, you will continue to get raises.
Remember, the universe is moving forward. Life is moving forward and it does have a plan, which is to come into balance and harmony with the Creative Continuum. Seek to manifest your power. Seek to move forward in everything you do.
